Soft pods coffee maker

Soft pod coffee maker (Fig.20.7) is a coffee brewer (see Beverage, coffee & ice cream equipments for more information about coffee brewers or filtered coffee makers) uses coffee pods instead of ground coffee. A Soft coffee pod (Fig.20.8) is compressed ground coffee encapsulated in a paper filter. Compared with normal coffee dosing (Fig.20.9), coffee pods have; easier using, easier discarding, easier transportation, etc. This type is suitable for hotel guest rooms & suites, pantry rooms in hospitals & office buildings, domestic use, etc.

Selection factors:

· Materials; stainless steel boiler, colored plastic casing.

· Water container capacity in liters (1 to 2 liters).

· Electric heating power in Watts.

· Water level indicator.

· One or two cups machine.

· With or without adjustable height coffee outlet.

· Brewing time in seconds.

· Cream creation facility.

· Electric controls; thermostat control, no water protection, programmable filling quantity, automatic shut off after certain period (if not used), signal lamps, etc.

· With or without coffee holder for using with ground coffee (Fig.20.9, i.e. machine can use either coffee pods or ground coffee, this feature is an advantage).
